Fourth grade reading levels correlate to prison cells in 20 years. They need volunteers for Aurora Heights, Emerson Hough, Thomas Jefferson, and Woodrow Wilson Elementary Schools.
Speedway Ministry: Minister to people in need when they attend events at the Iowa Speedway.
Haven of Hope would like volunteers to help serve those in need of shelter, hospitality and compassion that are recommended by Salvation Army. Haven of Hope is a place where people without resources in need of shelter find it. Guest stay anywhere from 1-10 days and are provided with food, a cozy little house to stay in, toiletries, laundry facilities and human caring. You could help out by volunteering to drive residents to appointments, provide groceries, help clean up after they leave, etc. If you would like to participate in this ministry you may contact Frances Dack at 521-7437.
